Where does the time go?

It has been an exciting month and Addy keeps growing and growing. In just the last few days she has grown a lot. I know I was looking at her yesterday and said to myself "self, did I really pick up the right baby at daycare...this one is soooo big"

Addy is getting closer and closer to crawling. She is more interested in climbing than crawling. It will come one of these days.

Addy is just getting over a horrible cold and a double ear infection. She is also battling croup, which just comes and goes but it is not that bad anymore.

Please enjoy the video and see how much our little one is growing.

BOO!

BOO....

Happy Halloween to everyone! Addy had her first candy bar, a Heith bar. She LOVED it! Well at least she enjoyed sucking the chocolate off the candy bar. Below are some photos. She would not take her thumb out of her mouth for any photos. I have a cute video but I don't have enough space on the computer to download. I will get the computer cleaned up and I will post it.
here is another cute fall photo we took today.

Has it been a while????

I am so sorry I have not kept up on the blog. I can sum it up with my new slogan
"Teething...it sucks for everyone "

This is why I am able to update tonight

Addy has been growing and growing. She understands that there is more to the sitting thing and if she works with her arms and legs something will happen...she just cant quite get it down. I will not be surprised if any day she starts crawling.
Addy has been sleeping better now, thank goodness. It was funny just two days ago she fell asleep while eating. I guess this proves that mom is a good cook!I am still trying to get my "new mommy look" all ironed out and I decided to go a bit shorter than before. Here are some photos from the last few days. My hair stylist, Michelle at Willow Salon in Maple grove said she had a great idea. I told her go with it and it ended up great! Here are some pictures, and if you think I look tired...well...I am.

I will update with more videos soon. Addy is just so cute and she is so active now it is amazing how she keeps growing.

Look at me grow!

I know it has been a while since I have updated with pictures. I do have some new videos for everyone. Our little piggy is growing so fast. She is eating more and more and is getting very good at it. Her pallet is growing as well. She is starting to like her fruits more and more.

We have had a few big days around here. Last Wednesday 9/10 Addy started sitting up on her own! It is really neat to see her learn new skills but makes me sad at the same time because she is growing so fast. Just as we practice sitting up Addy surprises me last night with being ticklish! Tonight I was videoing Addy sitting up for everyone and go figure I got her rolling from her tummy to her back. That is the first time I have ever seen her do that. Then I had a flashback when Parker started doing that...it was not that long when he started crawling. I guess we really have to start baby proofing the house.

Anyway, Justin and I caught it all on video. I hope you all enjoy!

I would also ask that you all keep my co-worker Anne and her daughter Katie in yours prayers. She lost her husband on September 14th after fighting pancreatic cancer. Anne put it best when she said "he was Stubborn and Strong to the end". I will miss Mike tremendously. He knew what life was all about and he knew how to live it.

Addy's ear appointment

We went in to Children's Hospital yesterday and Addy did great! We did get news that both of her ears work, she can hear. Ironically they did the original test that failed her left ear and this time she failed her rigth ear. The Dr. said it is most likely earwax build up. We will go in to have her ear canals cleaned and have another hearing test when she is about 7mo. This one we will not have to sedate her...thank goodness. We are home today, she is still not quite herself and cannot keep much of her food down. We are just taking it slow and resting a lot. I hope my little bunny is feeling 100% by the end of the day.

Update

Addy had her Post OP check up and it looks like she is just as healthy as can be. I am amazed that she is now at 14.4 lbs from 13 since her wellness check up a few weeks ago. Wednesday we will head into Children's Hospital for a sedated Auditory Brain stem Response test. Basically they are going to measure her brain waves as it reacts to sound to identify why she is not passing her newborn hearing test in her left ear. I will keep everyone posted as soon as we get home from the procedure.

She has also kicked up her eating. She now will consume 4oz of either a fruit or veggie at night. Her favorites so far are carrots, sweet peas, green beans, sweet potato, and pears. She is not a huge fan of the squash but will eat it. She does not like bananas, applesauce or peaches very much. It looks like we have a vegetable eater on our hands.

Adelyn Update!

So much as been going on. Addy started to roll over onto her tummy and from her tummy to her back. However, Addy learned quick that it is easier to cry on her tummy and have mom and dad put her on her back insead of rolling back over on her own..

Addy had her 4 moth wellness check up on Wednesday. She is growing up more that out. She is 25 inches long that puts her in the 78th percentile and 13 lbs. that puts her in the 35th percentile. It is no surprise that we have created a tall skinny baby. She is also working on her first tooth. We did get the news that we can start eating fruits and veggies! I will try to get that video up here. It is not working for some reason.

Addy wants to give her Grandma and Grandpa Bloom a great big thank you. She got her Exersaucer on Thursday. She enjoys sitting in it and looking at everything. Mommy loves it too because she can get a bit more done.

Addy feeling better

Addy was sick for the first time last Friday. We went to the hospital a 5:30 Friday morning with a fever of 101.5 when we got there she was so whinging I had never heard her sound so sad my heart broke. She just had a cold but she was feeling very down and out for Friday and Saturday. Sunday she was feeling better and had bounced back for Monday, daycare said she had an awesome day. I was so happy to see her feeling better. I still wish that a baby was born with an instruction manual. But we made it through.

Unfortunately we were sick for daddy's birthday but dad had a great birthday. He was given some great golf balls and had a weekend packed full of golf...golf...golf. Happy Birthday to Justin!

July update

Okay...okay...I know it has been a while since I updated the blog but man alive it has been a crazy month. It was also a month of first times for Addy.

We started off with going up north for the 4th of July we had so much fun and it was a great ending to my maternity leave. Adelyn got to go on her first boat ride and was in her first parade! She took part of the 4th of July boat parade, she enjoyed it for a few minutes...then the engine sound put her right to sleep. We will have to wait until next year for her first time seeing fireworks, she slept through those as well.

I began work on July 7th. That was a bit of an adjustment, I was getting use to waking up at 7 and taking my time getting ready and getting Addy ready. I also enjoyed all of the time I was spending with Sean. We were having so much fun but of course reality sets in. Addy adjusted to daycare well. I am still adjusting to daycare.

Adelyn and I went to Louisiana for Cousins weekend on July 10. She was absolutely wonderful the entire time. She met her great grandma and all of her cousins. She had a ton of fun with the family. She did create a reputation for herself...now she just has to be a perfect child every time we go to visit the family. She set the bar high for herself. I will have a slide show of cousin's weekend posted in a few days.

Addy wanted to say a few words to everyone...

4th of July

Look at me...I'm like Daddy!

Here is Addy in Justin's glasses...yes this is what we do when we have nothing better to do on a Friday night. My how life changes.

We had loads of fun at Bronson and Mimi's wedding. It was very beautiful and we are all so happy for the couple. I am also excited that I have a wonderful sister-in-law. Addy also got to meet Uncle Josh, Aunt Angie, Parker and Bella for the first time. It was so much fun having everyone together again. Below are some fun photos of the weekend.
Bronson at rehearsal :)
Grandma Diane with Sean, Bella and Addy...Umm...Grandma Diane...where is Parker?

Bronson and BEAUTIFUL Amy!

Sean at rehearsal dinner

We think Addy was embarrassed at her Mommy's dancing.

After all this fun and excitement I just hung out with Addy and Sean all week. I have been busy that is for sure. Addy was a little off from being on vacation but I think I have her back on track...until 4th of July weekend. Yea for 4th of July!

Sean and I were going to take Addy to lake Orno on Thursday but Adelyn was very fussy that day...instead Sean found a Woodchuck in the back yard. Yes, I said Wood Chuck! It is living under our shed...and to think for the last 4 years I just thought it was rabbits. I will take a video of that when we catch it!

Cornhole!

This last weekend Justin decided to put his wood working skills to the test and make a Cornhole game. Yes, Justin is the Cornhole Master! Others may know the game as Baggo or Bean Bag Toss. Justin found directions on how to make an official Cornhole game for himself. It was lots of fun to watch him make and we are so excited to play the game. Below are pictures of Justin's masterpieces.
Sean was also excited about the game. He was great with helping his Dad make the set. He was also very happy that he is finally out of school. I asked him how it felt to be out the 4th grade. He said it felt good! He is excited to be going into the 5th grade.

Grandpa Gary came over and saved the day when he brought us lunch. Double cheeseburgers from McDonald's. YUM! Here is Adelyn and Grandpa Gary having a heart to heart.
Adelyn enjoys sleeping in with Mom and Dad on the Weekends. If we bring her into the bed when she wakes up at 6:30 she will snooze the morning away. Here is Justin and Addy on Sunday morning. Addy even out slept her Daddy! She did not get up until almost noon.

Addy then and now

Addy 8 hours old - our little squeaker!

Addy 8 weeks old

I am trying to get Addy to smile on camera but it seems that every time I get the camera out she gets upset. I will see if I can get her smile in the morning. She still squeaks too! I will see if I can get that on tape also. Addy cannot wait to meet Aunt Angie and Uncle Josh and her cousins Parker and Bella in just a few weeks! She keeps asking me about them.

First trip to the cabin!

Well, last Wednesday Adelyn and I ventured up North. It was great, Adelyn slept from the moment we got in the car and woke up just as we got to the cabin. We had such a great time! Adelyn got to see Grandma Diane and Grandpa Dennis again. Aunt Amy was happy to see Addy also...well...until she was peed on! Hee Hee I told her it could have been way worse. She saw Uncle Bronson again too. I think she just stares and wonders why this guy looks like Daddy. It is so sweet! Great Grandma Peggy also stopped by. She was so happy to meet Addy.

I got to go to Fargo for the first time ever. I was really excited to go just because I only saw the movie and really wondered what the town was like. Well...I met some locals and well...it was Fargo. We went for Amy's dress fitting and I vowed to tell everyone in great detail what it looks like. First of all Amy is beautiful in her dress. Now as for the dress...it is a dress and it is white! Like I was going to tell you what it looked like. But really, it is stunning and I cannot wait to see it in action. We also bottled wine. It was really neat to see how the whole process is done. It really is not that hard but it is loads of fun! I was so happy to hang out with Amy and help her out with some memorable moments before her big day!

Oh! I cannot forget the BEAR!!!!! We saw a bear on the side of the road. It was really cool!

BACK ONLINE!!!

We had a very exhausting weekend. Justin and I decided to give our lawn a face lift. The wood timbers were old and needed to be replaced and there were some bushes that needed to go! Justin was able to get new rocks, a trailer, and a Bobcat for the weekend. For two days we were shoveling rocks. We only had one snag in the whole weekend, we accidentally cut our cable line digging out one of the bushes. So we have been without TV, Phone and Internet since Saturday morning. I thought I was going to loose my mind on Monday. I could not jam to my online tunes with Addy. I do have to give a special thanks to Bronson for coming down to help us out. We really appreciated his help. Below are before and after pictures.

Before /After

It was back breaking work but it was well worth it! It looks great and all of the neighbors agree that it looks great.
I did finally find my camera and as I promised I would post pictures of Grandpa Dennis and Aunt Jill and Cousin Soren's visit so here they are.
Here is Jill with Adelyn

Grandma came from Washington came to visit again! She said Adelyn had grown so much! It was weekend of first times. Adelyn met her Grandpa Dennis, Aunt Jill and Cousin Soren this weekend. She went to her first Dr. appointment for illness, she has pink eye. She went for her first walk in her stroller to Perkins.

I will post pictures of Grandpa Dennis and Aunt Jill when I find my camera again...sleep deprivation and cleaning sometimes works against me...oops!

Here are some other pictures I got off of my moms camera...

Addy does not like taking baths just yet...

Here is a picture of her curly hair after her bath

Here is Addy all pretty in pink with mommy!

When I downloaded pictures from my mom's camera she had this picture. It is of my dog Loki and my friend Laurens son Kaleb. It was so cute I had to post it.

So much fun this weekend!

Wow did we have a fun filled weekend! Grandma Diane had been with us for the first week and had to head back to Florida. We had a lot of visitors...Uncle Bronson and Aunt Mimi came from Park Rapids. My parents Ruth and Richard flew in from Washington State. Uncle Charles came in from Wyoming. We also had Kristy and Austin come to visit on Saturday, by the way they are at the hospital right now having their little one, Yeah!

Sean had tons of fun with his dad and Uncle Charles. They were very busy having tons of fun! Check out the slide show below!

We are now expecting my best friend Angie to come in from Washington state next Sunday.

Addy had fun too! She was out and about absorbing in the world. She went to Rockwoods Restaurant, Cub foods, Jimmy Johns, Costco, Byerly's and Lowe's. She loved being in the car and being pushed around in the cart. She just looked around and took it all in, when she was not sleeping.
